The Eyelash Emporium - GDL

GDL also known as Gravity defying Lashes  is a new lash lift range from The Eyelash Emporium.

GDL lifts and extends the lashes, straightening them at the root for an instant fuller effect and high-impact look. 

- Clean the lashes using The Eyelash Emporium Cleansing foam or the protein cleansing pads. 
- Place the under-eye pads onto the lower lashes and on both eyes to hold them down. 
- Place the lash shield of your size choice for your client on the eyelid. Ensuring the petal is in the centre of the eyelid. If needed trim the ends of the shield. 
- Apply the Eyelash Emporium GDL Bonder onto the back of the lash shield and place it on the eyelid. Hold in position for a few seconds. 
- Apply the GDL Bonder onto the front of the shield using small sections by using the GDL Tool or Y-comb. Lift the lashes onto the shield. Make sure the lashes are adhered to the shields as straight as possible. 
- Repeat these steps for both eyes until all lashes are lifted onto the shield. If the lashes aren't straight then use a damp cotton wool pad to remove the bonder and start again. 
- Take the GDL Scene 1 lift solution with a micro brush and apply the solution to the root of the lashes to the middle of the lashes. Do not go to the tip of the lashes. Leave the solution on the lashes for the appropriate timing depending on your client's lashes
- When the timer finishes remove the solution using a dry cotton pad or sponge applicator. 
- Mix the lash tint and GDL Scene 2 into a dappen dish with a ratio of 2:1 (More neutraliser to tint). Once all mixed apply all over the lashes and leave on the lashes depending on your client's lashes. 
- When the timer finishes remove the mixed tint and solution using a dry cotton pad or sponge applicator.
- Apply scene 3 Keratin booster over the lashes to nourish the lashes. Brush through the lashes with a mascara wand to show off the length and to complete the look. 

- Scenes 1 + 2 have faster setting times allowing for a quicker effective treatment. Treatments can be completed in less than 30 minutes.
- Mixing scene 2 and tint is an innovative USP and will speed up time. Scene 2 acts as a developer.

- Apply some microporous tape on the eyelids before applying the lash shield to help them stick better. This also makes removing the shield easier.
- Always measure the shield against your client's eyes before applying. If the shield is too big cut it down on the outer edge. 
- The size of the lash lift shield impacts the finished lash curl. A small shield gives a tighter curl, medium shields create a classic C curl and large shields leave a softer, subtle curl.
