Caflon Ear Piercing Training Course

Caflon Ear Piercing Course:

We're currently providing training virtually and are proud to provide the training via Zoom (free download from www.zoom.com, Apple App Store, or Google Play Store)

Requirements -  Caflon blu instrument (Gun) and a model who must be over the age of 16. Once you have completed the training course and successfully completed at least one ear piercing you will be required to complete the online training questionnaire on the Caflon website only then will students be issued with a Caflon diploma.

Once you have purchased the course you will receive an email from our educator with the available times and dates for your virtual course. Your Virtual training could last up to 2 hours (depending on the number of students attending). Please make sure you have the full 2 hour time allowance available for your training, and access to a quiet space so as to limit distractions during the course as training cannot be rescheduled or refunded once training has commenced. 

Your personal virtual training will consist of;

- Caflon Ear Piercing Equipment including personal protective equipment
- Licencing, Insurance, and age restrictions
- Stud selection and types available
- Contraindications
- Demonstrating loading of the Caflon instrument to the tutor to show understanding
- Demonstrating piercing of a practiced ear to show tutor
- Demonstrating dismantling the Caflon instrument and sanitisation practices to show understanding   
- Preparation of your model to be assessed by the tutor
- Piercing of your model to be assessed by the tutor
- Upper Flat Cartilage piercing procedure will be recapped
- Question and answer session and feedback from the tutor

Course Contents :

Introduction
A brief history of Caflon's worldwide business activities. Background information relating to legislation governing hygienic ear piercing within the UK.

Caflon Products
A detailed description of all the various raw materials our products are manufactured from, together with the medical criteria, which influence our choice of materials.

An insight into our manufacturing, plating, and packaging operations, with particular emphasis on our sterilisation methods plus a brief explanation about the starker kit.

Equipment Demonstration
A detailed explanation of the various examinations, which must always be carried out prior to piercing an ear lobe. A complete and thorough demonstration of how to use our Government approved cassette ear piercing system. 

Each Student will be required to perform a simulated ear-piercing demonstration before being allowed to pierce their model's ear. 

Aftercare
A detailed explanation of the procedures must be explained to each client after they have had their ears pierced.

Models (Duration depends on the number of students)
Each student will be asked to implement all our training procedures and pierce the ear lobes ( 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd position may be pierced) of their model under the close supervision of our training manager. All models have to be over 16 years old.

Cartilage
Highlighting the differences between cartilage and lobe piercing using Caflon blu system.

Seminar Conclusion
The students will be given this opportunity to ask any questions or to request clarification on any matters which they have not fully understood.

Insurance Requirements
If you are conducting the ear piercing service from a salon then the salon and the person have to have a license, to do this you would need to contact your local council and speak to the environmental health department. There will be a fee to pay, however, We are unable to advise what fees would be involved as this may differ from council to council, please check before booking the course.

Each student will be asked to implement all Caflon training procedures and pierce the ear lobes of their model under the close supervision of our educator. It is important that the students pierce a model's ear as part of their training seminar.

A model is required for each student attending the course to ensure you are fully prepared, models will be required 30 minutes after the course begins. Failing to bring a model could result in failing the course.
