1. Lotion Selection

Examine the scalp to ensure it is healthy and free from irritation, damage or flakiness.

Assess the condition of the hair from root to tip to confirm it is suitable for perming.

Choose the correct Dulcia Advanced Lotion according to the client’s hair type. Lotion 1T is ideal for natural hair.
2. Preparation

Wear appropriate disposable gloves throughout mixing, application and removal.

Shampoo the hair with L’Oréal Professionnel PRO Classics Texture Shampoo, then gently blot dry.

If required, apply Presifon Advanced Protector evenly through all sections.

Select the appropriate perm tools—size, diameter and rod type—to achieve the desired curl pattern, wave or movement.

Use your preferred Dulcia winding technique, ensuring the hair is wrapped securely but not too tightly.
3. Application

Lightly mist the hair with water to keep it evenly damp before applying the lotion.

Protect the client’s hairline if necessary.

Apply Dulcia Advanced Lotion 1T slowly and evenly to each roller-wrapped section 2–3 times, directly from the bottle.
4. Development Time
Follow the recommended timings for the chosen lotion and hair type:

Natural resistant hair (Lotion 0): No heat – 15 minutes

Natural hair (Lotion 1 or 1T): No heat – 15 minutes

Sensitised hair (Lotion 2 or 2T): No heat – 10 minutes

Very sensitised hair (Lotion 3): No heat – 10 minutes
Always adhere strictly to these timings to ensure consistent, reliable results.
5. Neutralising

After development, rinse the lotion from the hair without removing the rollers for at least 5 minutes, or longer if needed.

Blot excess water gently.

Apply Dulcia Advanced Neutraliser (100ml) directly to the rollers and leave for 10 minutes.

Carefully remove each roller.

Work the remaining Neutraliser through the lengths of the hair.

Rinse thoroughly for a minimum of 5 minutes.
