About L'Oreal Majirel and FAQ's
1. What is L’Oréal Majirel hair colour?
L’Oréal Majirel is a professional permanent hair dye that provides up to 100% grey coverage, long-lasting results, and conditioning benefits thanks to Ionène G™ and Incell technology.
2. How long does Majirel last?
Majirel typically lasts up to 8 weeks with proper aftercare and colour-protecting products.
3. Is Majirel suitable for resistant grey hair?
Yes. Majirel is specially formulated to cover resistant greys, offering reliable, natural-looking results.
4. Does Majirel damage hair?
No. Majirel strengthens and conditions hair during colouring, leaving it up to 45% more conditioned and noticeably softer after treatment.
5. Is L’Oréal Majirel for professional use only?
Yes. Majirel is designed for use by trained professionals in salon environments.
6. How does the new Majirel compare to the old formula?
The new Majirel maintains the same mixing ratio (1:1.5), delivers up to 100% white hair coverage, and continues to provide hair with a rich, even colour. The new Majirel is now in a larger 60ml tube (previously 50ml), giving greater profit potential. The updated formula also allows for faster, smoother mixing with easier application, and is now 100% vegan, containing no animal-derived ingredients or by-products.
8. Can I mix the new and existing Majirel formulas?
Yes, but it has to be equal amounts of old Majirel and New Majirel. It also must be mixed at a 1:1.5 ratio with the Odour Trapping Technology Oxydant only.
9. Do I need to carry out a patch test before using L'Oréal Majirel?
Yes. Always perform a patch test before using a permanent or semi-permanent hair dye, even if it’s your regular brand.
10. How do I perform a patch test on a client?
Apply a small amount of the dye solution behind the ear or inner elbow, then leave it to dry. Be sure to follow the instructions provided with the dye.
11. What to do if a client reacts to a patch test?
If a client experiences irritation, discomfort, or feels unwell after the patch test, do not use the product on them.
12. How do I know if the Majirel range is right for my salon?
