Top 5 Autumn Hair Trends

September. How did that happen? Whilst Summer will be missed, we at CM Hair and Beauty are ready.

We are so excited for the trends that come with it. There are a glorious variety of hair trends set to pave the way in these cooler months and whilst we love them all, we have summarised some of our favourites below.

Fringes

Fringes are back and we are here from it. From looking at the runways earlier this year and the latest celeb looks, it is clear that fringes will be a popular choice of hairstyle in the coming months.

We have seen a variety of fringe styles making an appearance, from cool blunt cuts to laid-back grown fringes. The curtain fringe is often a go-to choice thanks to its adaptability and ease. We predict hair salons will see a big influx of requests for fringe cuts, so make sure you have your best hairdressing scissors at the ready.

Auburn Tones

To name a few, Gigi Hadid, Ashley Bensen and of course Bridgerton Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) have paved the way for going Auburn. What better time to do it than Autumn? We love the warm, rich tones that can be achieved with auburn and red hair.

Whether you are using semi-permanent or permanent hair dye to achieve autumn tones for your clients, we have a wide variety for you to choose from with special offers available throughout our product range.

Shaggy Chic

Shaggy hair has been a trend emerging for a while and we have been keeping a keen eye on it. Think wolf cuts, shaggy, mullets and cropped vibes. This hairstyle is a bold one and it is set to stay in Autumn this year.

We love this hairstyle for its versatility and low maintenance. It evokes a 70’s feeling to us (another popular trend) with a mixture of modern-day. For clients lucky enough to have curly hair, the curly shag hairstyle looks amazing and is super wearable. Hair salons are finding this is an ever more requested cut which is growing in popularity.

Bob's Your Uncle

For those looking for a neater look, bobs are in. Bobs of all varieties are popular, with the practicality of them being a popular choice. Hair clients are loving the “wash and go” vibe that bobs allow for - they are minimum effort but have maximum impact.

Layered bobs are a great choice for those looking for a hairstyle that is on-trend but doesn’t require constant styling. For a chic look, bobs that are shorter on the sides with a flick at the back look gorgeous. For those that don’t want to get rid of all their length, longer bobs are always a cool, relaxed way to embrace the trend.

All Out ’70s

As an overall look for hairstyles this Autumn, the ’70s is the era dominating and has been incorporated into the trends above, particularly bobs, relaxed fringes and shaggy haircuts. Hair salons have seen an increase in clients referencing ‘70s styles when they ask for their new hairstyle.

Suki Waterhouse is a celeb who has rocked the choppy, grown-out shag look for quite some time and she continues to be a style inspiration for many. This style can be smooth, bouncy and groovy or blunt and choppy. We just love how this hairstyle has taken inspiration from the era but has modern twists for everyday wear.
